Harper had caught Sunjata's elbow before he'd left the meeting, quietly asking to catch up with the man before they'd all departed. It had been no small measure of relief that he'd felt when the Flood had readily agreed, and Harper had flown straight to the House of Midnight as directed once they had exited the nullifying boundaries of the Refuge.
These days, the only friend he can count by his side is Hadama, and Harper had reached for Sunjata with no small amount of desperation and loneliness to inspire the motion.
He isn't the first to arrive, but Sunjata has to take care of a few things before they can speak, so Harper finds himself drawn to the bar area. He has already claimed a booth for the both of them, though he sits at it alone. By the time Sunjata arrives, he will find a small graveyard of glasses on the table - a visual signifier that things aren't going very well for Harper these days. Glancing up, Harper gives a wan smile at the Flood and gestures for him to sit. "It's been a long time," he murmurs, keeping his voice low just to be on the safe side. "How are you these days?" The war had stolen much from the world, and while Harper had been luckier than most, he never assumed the same of others.
