Danta takes much care before making his offering to his dark lady. Arriving at the shrine shivering and in quite a black mood, given the season and the location, it's a while before he even approaches the ruby clusters. Lighting candles and lanterns in the space to lend light and warmth, as well as drinking a generous amount of hot spiced cider from a flask he's brought, once he feels as though he can withstand the cold enough to address his goddess, he proceeds.

"I would make the Grounds ours, but it is somewhat inhospitable to your children at this time of year. I wonder if you might give us a means to stay warm - to thaw us, if the cold gets too much?" As he speaks he pressed a palm indulgently against one of the rubies, allowing the sharp gemstone to bead with his blood.
