Caiside The woods are lovely dark and deep But I have places to see And miles to go before I sleep Caiside had spent most of the morning (and the night before) cooped up in the Aetheneum, chasing after a dozen different threads of research. He didn’t feel like he’d made any easway on anything, but with the sun shining in through the windows, Caiside was restless, and needed to move. With barely a moment spared to make sure his clothing was in order, he stepped out into the light, immediately raising a hand to shield his eyes from the brightness of the day. The sound of footsteps and... clacking reach him from beside the large building, just out of place enough to pique his interest. Turning his back to the light, he sidled beside the building until he comes upon the source of the noise, a woman crouching amongst the shattered remnants of something. Caiside looks her over curiously, knowing that she is familiar but unable to quite put his finger on why. His eyes linger on the scar on her neck for a moment, then move the young luxere, and suddenly, her familiarity clicks. ”Hello!” He called out brightly, unsure of how else to announce himself. ”It’s good to see you in the light. And the youngling, as well.” Caiside gestured towards Auni, then looked around at the rubble covering the street. Now that he’d seen it, he couldn’t very well leave the hazard be, but maybe he could get some help with it. ”Would you mind lending a hand with this? It’ll be easier and faster with two people.” It felt a little strange, imposing on someone who was essentially a stranger, but people here had been more than happy to help out it seemed, and he was going to count on that.
