Oh, and he leads her into a fantastical dance, starting off slow and swaying before Thorn’s moving them around a bit more than keeping the two of them stationary — close and content, his chin above her shoulder, far enough away to not dive in yet close enough to give that nearly there possessive flare. (He’d be lying if he wasn’t giving subtle warnings to the other workers that flit here and about that she was taken for the evening.)
His hands are steady on her, not feeling the alcohol nearly as much as she might be given how little he’d had in comparison. But it makes him surefooted, capable of holding her close and guiding her until the song starts to slow as does his steps, her body against his that he finds difficult to part from in the moment as he takes her hand and steps back to give a polite bow, his billowy shirt moving with the motion as his smooth lips find the back of her hand.
