A young, nervous-looking man comes up to her, and Evie turns to him with a warm smile she hopes comes off as encouraging. "You weren't eavesdropping at all, though I'm jealous of your hearing," she compliments in the hopes it will bolster the young man. He reminds her so much of Sam, and the pain is a sharp and immediate thing, but perhaps that's why she feels inclined to be nicer to him than she might have otherwise been with all this tension abound.
"How's this for a plan - while these two put on a show, why don't you and I and whomever else you'd like from the council sit down and talk for a bit? No pressure, no strings attached." She certainly wouldn't make any agreements without Deimos' input, but maybe things can be set in motion, some groundwork laid, before Koa drops a political bomb on every region he comes across.
Clapping her hands lightly to get the attention of the crowd, Evie gestures toward the training grounds. "Anyone interested in watching the fight, come together please!" And with that, she smiles at Everest and gestures for Koa to lead the way, glad things are back on track again - for now.
