Watching with slightly narrowed eyes to try and figure out if there was a trick to it all—honestly, it seemed more like just a game of luck than anything else—Flora pulls back from her mother in order to edge herself next to the pond.

Reaching for a rod and tipping the strange figure a wink, Flora picked a duck at random and threw her line trying to hook it.
