They had both been working hard to help the affected regions, and Tal was planning to head down to the docks in a couple of days and lend a hand with the recovery in King's End, but something Hotaru had once told him had reminded him that they needed to stop and take care of themselves, too, or they'd be too burned out to help others.

Tal had a picnic basket in one hand and Boreal had a length of frayed rope in her mouth for playing tug-of-war with later, and he turned to give Alys a tired grin.
