I will not be brave, but I'm grateful to get through
Gone just like any dog whose attention has been properly stolen, the shepherd streaks through the crowd, nimbly dodging and weaving between legs and around wagons. Despite his keen sense of smell, Everest has never tried to hone his abilities, such that what should have been an easy feat left the shepherd panting several blocks away. Realizing what he'd done only when someone yelled at him to "fuck off outta the road", the dog curled its tail between its legs and slunk back toward the clinic.
Smelling the water, Everest helps himself to the bowl, draining it before trotting into the clinic and offering Isla a rather sheepish wag of his tail. Not wanting to jump onto the furniture as a dog, as the aviator shifted back into his own body, he found himself awkwardly sitting on the floor and had to fumble quickly to keep himself properly covered.
"Sorry, I..." Wiping at the water dripping down his chin, Everest swallows hard, blushing furiously as he looks up at Isla.
