The list of things Jack dislikes is a mile long and a foot wide, but one might be surprised (or not) to know that horses are near the top. As he approaches, deeply tanned from work on The Ark and the docks and dressed in a loose linen shirt whose sleeves are rolled to the elbows, he makes a point of circling around the pony to stand with Flora, levelling it a look of disdain for its trouble as well.
