As they worked, Noah cleared his throat a little and spoke. ”I have to admit, Ru,” He started, ”that I am a bit jealous of this situation. With this new standing in life will eventually come immortality — and you’ll get to use it to stand in the arms of the one you love forever.” And Noah would not. Cordelia, eventually, would die. The fact gripped at his heart and he propped his forearms on his knees for a second. He jutted his chin towards the spectral man. ”That will be me. But with a living, beating heart.”
