She knew she had spotted them at some point, but the next time she looked, they were gone. So she had spent some time with the others, catching up on the latest information since she’d been cooped up and recovering – her neck now only adorned with a slightly gruesome looking bruise along the side of it, and the two puncture spots of teeth (though those had mostly healed now, the bruising was the longest part). But now that the people she had been with began to leave, to go and dance or go to the wheel, she did her best to scout out Rory and Jigano again.
The banners remained in hand, wrapped around one of her arms as she moved along light feet to scout those that had gathered. She had turned them inward, so only the base of the colors shown through, none of the patterns. She knew Jigano already knew what they looked like, but she hoped deep down to catch a surprise on Rory’s face; the start of a friendship, a peace offering as she had told Jigano before. And with her friend’s helpful instruction – and warm sleeping gryphon – she assumed that it would be a banner that Rory would like. She hadn’t done much since Jigano had left her, only taking the banners out to make sure they were clean, and she had taken some extra care with her transmutation magic to make them more vibrant.
That, and she had made Rory’s banner more weather proof on the off chance he wanted to hang it outdoors at his farm.
It felt like forever as she made her way around before she finally spotted them, surprisingly close to one another, but she said nothing as she breezed in and Jigano greeted her with a wide smile (and Isuma with a reep of hello) – and was that a flush to his cheeks?! She was happy for him, to see the shadows that haunted his eyes gone, and she offered a bright cheerful smile in response to him. “Jigano! Happy Fiat Lux! And happy Fiat Lux, Isuma!” She spoke cheerfully, before her eyes danced to Rory and she dipped her head in a bit more of a muted greeting. She didn’t know where she stood with Rory, but she hoped on a day like this it would be good.
“Happy Fiat Lux to you as well, Rory.” She smiled, reaching for the bundle of banners draped along one arm. First, she looked to Jigano with an almost conspirator glance before she opened up the one banner with the rainbow gryphon they had both designed and she made to hand it to him. “I fluffed it up a bit and added more vibrancy to the colors, but everything is the same.” She said with a small wink before looking fully on the blond man standing beside Jigano – that same smile crossing her face as she felt the confidence within. “I made you one too, with Jigano and Isuma’s help here.” She began, but before she opened it to show him, she paused. “I hope we can put everything behind us? I’d like to get to know you as a friend, if you'll have me.” Her voice retained the cheerfulness, but there was a spark of hope beneath it.
Then, she opened the banner for Rory – a weatherproofed version of the one Jigano and she had made. A dark purple body of a horse, blue hooves, with a rainbow that sprouted from the mane and tail as it appeared to gallop across the banner. Holding it up so Rory could see, her eyes scanned his face in the hopes of a response.
