She adjusted herself so she wouldn’t squish Felix, glancing down at the slumbering newborn before she turned her head up to look at Vai. ”Nothing I’ll miss,” she promised, trying to make her tone sound reassuring. ”Mort was… fair. And wonderful.” The moment she said it, she felt the swell of emotion in her chest, and she quickly blinked back the prickling in her eyes.
