Reaching High

Sam gave out a surprised gasp as he was suddenly so close to Remi, the other man apparently growing tired of the tension between them and giving in, rushing forward. A hand in his hair guided him in what to do, not that Sam needed much instruction anyway; instinct or muscle memory or something led him to press into the kiss, arms coming up to snake around Remi's neck and his whole body leaning forward into Remi. When Remi spoke at first Sam didn't even really understand the words, eyes wide and mind blank from the all-encompassing, spontaneous kiss. It took a moment for them to come to him, Sam blinking a couple of times. When he did understand them he wasn't sure how to respond, the sentiment seemingly at odds with the passion of the kiss Remi had just thrust upon him. "No..." He agreed, his voice low and soft. "But...this...isn't the past, right?"
