As the deity explained the boom they were rewarding her, Cel could’ve sworn she was about to throw up. That was it? For forcing the three of them under their spell, for waking a side of her that she didn’t know even existed... If she could have, she would’ve spat in their face.
With a teasing wave and condescending comment, the deity disappeared...with her clothing. Fucking wonderful. That was perhaps the farthest thing in her mind right then, though.
She found herself able to move and speak finally, and the young woman arched forward, running her fingers through her hair. As soon as she sat back up, Remi approached and removed his shirt, offering it to her. Cel gave him possibly the guiltiest smile she had ever shown and accepted it, but as soon as she put it around her body, the material disappeared. ”Fucking hells,” she muttered with a groan, turning to face him. ”That wasn’t what I knew of religion, Remi. That was... I have no idea.”
Her gaze found Phoebe with dripping sympathy and sorrow. ”I’m so sorry,” she whispered, suddenly losing her voice. That was never a side of her she wanted to learn about. That was never something she knew even existed inside of her, yet that deity, whoever they were, brought it out. Not only had she approached the girl with a kind of lust that even confused her, but she had revealed to Remi her fangs. She slowly shook her head to him, silently pleading with him to keep it a secret.
Cel needed to find somewhere to go, get some kind of covering which clearly these two couldn’t give her. Her clothing could be replaced, even her dignity could be rebuilt, but she thanked, well not the gods, that the deity had left her father’s sword. That was one thing that couldn’t be replaced.
She glanced at the beads she was given, and she didn’t want to look at them, didn’t want anything to do with them because of what had just happened. She carefully picked up her father’s sword, releasing her long hair to cover her bare chest. ”Please, forgive me,” she whispered to Phoebe. ”I have no idea what happened...” She hardly knew the girl, and after what had just happened, there was a good chance that was as far as their interactions would go. Looking at Remi once again, Cel’s eyes softened to their gentle hickory color. ”I have to find a roof and clothing. Make sure she’s okay, and we’ll tell Ronin to keep people as far away from here as possible.”
