Kalt listened to the man’s story. Magical fire? Was it a mage’s fire, or was the fire itself something magical? He wasn’t sure right then, but it also could wait.    “You shouldn’t have tried to treat yourself, bud,” Kalt said with tight lips. He set a cup of water on the table beside the cot and sat next to the cot. “Drink. Gotta stay hydrated or I’m going to have to put a drip in your arm.”    Carefully, Kalt began removing the wrappings the man had thrown together for himself. Another person might have said the leg needed to be amputated - he had met a few of those people in medical school - but the assassin simply grinned at the thought.    He dipped the rag into the water and rang most of it out, then set to work gently cleaning around the wound, eventually getting to the wound itself with an extremely light touch as to not aggravate it further. “Name’s Kalt,” he said with a sideways grin. “What's your story, eh?”
