Greedy lips and parched throat sucked down the cup before stoneware had barely touched wood. Even though it was barely tepid the water carved a chilling path down to Are's stomach, sending a little shiver up his spine as he felt it sap some of his feverish warmth.
"Are, I'm Are. A cobbler stumbling into things beyond him. First drowning, now this." a faint laugh could be heard as he motioned towards a wound severe enough to have the half-giant knocking on death's door.
He winced at the rough-spun linen being removed, deft and careful as the man was it still stuck to the open wound. More of the same came as the cleanup began. Through barely open eyes he witnessed the full extent of his foolishness being laid bare and poked at.
"My story is long and boring, mostly me doing stupid and hasty things and ending up like this." he said through gritted teeth.
