As he pulled free he regained his human foot, bare now as the vine retreated with his boot in its grasp.
He cast Arduinna's back a wounded look as he tugged off his other boot in resignation, hooking it through the strap of his supply bag as he regained his feet with a deft roll. A quick glance showed Sam and Killian both untouched, though the youngest among them looked... unsettled.
