Sam had, despite his rational side (which was growing by the day but was still easily stomped out), immediately become anxious upon seeing Jigano's note. Even though they had been successful in their mission and had made plans afterwards, he could not shake the idea that his friend now rather hated him. The words 'your own two hands' rang in his ears over and over again, the harsh reality of the judgement coming to him when he first woke up and when he was laid in bed at night. The worst part was he could not even deny the accusation. And he would have to continue seeing Jigano, both because he was his friend and guildmaster, but also because he had to speak to him of Remi's warning. He spent the whole day waiting for Jigano in a haze, helping customers as if in a trance. Books passed hands and shelves were cleaned, but Sam was not really there.
