I feel like part of me was missing, I suppose." a more reasonable person would note that it isn't for everyone, but Amalia is not reasonable. She is ardent, reverent, impassioned by piety. Adam's platitudes are sweet, if unhelpful when it comes to alleviating the girl's guilt. "I suppose," she offer noncommittaly, her hard black eyes still far away.
