She watches the exchange with a raised brow but says nothing – instead, her eyes follow Vynter as he moves toward the end of the river to search for more of the gleaming black stones. She doesn’t know what Lucas needs them for, and she doesn’t particularly care enough to ask. She simply watches, listening, as he speaks of not being frightened of the sun as much as he once was. Her head tilts to him, her dark hair shifting over her shoulder and chest with the movement as she regards him before her eyes slip to Vynter once again. “Ah, I was hoping to find Bastien but it seems I’ve been lead to you instead.” She offered with a light shrug, eyes darting back to Vynter. “No idea what he’s doing, though it appears to be helping you?” She muses, a hint of amusement in her voice.

But then everything begins to change, and Lucas is immediately up and ready to fight as the bodies appear and begin to try and grab Lucas – then her – to which, she feels the strong hands clamp down on her arms. Suddenly, the ground appears a lot closer as the man wrestles her to the ground and she does her best to fight back – hands opening with her palms out as she attempts to summon a large firework to shoot at the man grabbing her. She doesn’t see Vynter as he approaches, aiming to barrel into the man.

She does, however, hear a voice not like Lucas’ own and feels the surge of electricity in the air. The command, however, is news to her. And in her eyes are complete confusion about everything. About the voice coming from Lucas – if he’d inadvertently saved the three of them? And she’s still trying to figure out what crown has banned them from this place. When Zariah’s name is said, it still doesn’t register. Instead, she grits her teeth and hopes something works.
