A sound of splashing water made him lift his head, looking towards Vynter. He jumped as he saw a nearly naked man appearing seemingly from nowhere (ironic, since he was the invisible one) and walk towards him. Reflexively, he turned himself back to being entirely invisible, or at least as much as he could be. In this unfamiliar place, he felt even more vulnerable than usual.
He watched as the man walked past him and towards his things. As soon as Vynter passed him Sam made himself visible and stood, following slowly and quietly, worried for his possessions. Truthfully, he knew it was unlikely someone would want to steal a diary and a few sets of clothes, but paranoia as always set in. He did not know he was revealing himself to the Fae in turn by hiding himself from Vynter.
