Jigano is able to slip through the cracks. As he does so a bit of dust falls, but the stones remain mostly where they were.
Amalia moves through more easily, having waited for
Delah and
Deimos to clear a way. Though their masks provide decent protection (and an earthy scent), it is the sudden appearance of
Vervain and her ability to stir the air that makes the going significantly easier.
Not so for those within the darkened room, however. Though
Jigano as a snake may not need to breathe (
yet), the poisonous gas is more than happy to invade and attack his eyes. Burning his pupils as if with sentient intent to make him stick his forked tongue out to scent the world around him, they attack. Similarly attacking Amalia, they make breathing and seeing all the more difficult for the feline girl.
Continued movement from
Deimos,
Delah, and the rest of the fae soon clear the path with ease allowing them access into the largely room.
With the reddish light from
Amalia's antlers, the group will see this: What was once nearly a cathedral-like room is now tarnished and broken with stone and jagged columns. The ground, once covered in pale and sweet water is now thick and full of a blackened sludge so thick it seems to envelop the light that hits it. Still the species of tree grows: a strange species of plant with dark blue leaves and vibrant green-yellow spots. They grow towards the centre of the room almost in some sort of pattern, creating a strange checker-board like space between them. There is the sound of water rushing, rushing
rushing nearby.
Where once the turtle was, now only a mossy hill remains.
Where once the bard found a portal and a guardian is merely a wall of stone.
