Striding into the cavern, Amalia does not stop to consider her choices, the dangers that lurk within. Delah's silent warning is met with a flick of a feline ear, a pulsed response of defiance, denial. Kneeling beside the hill, Amalia places her palms on the grass, trying to see if the creature lies beneath. Please, she prays to the creature, to the gods that cannot hear her, to Delah and Jigano because she does not know to block them out. Please, don't let us be too late.
Amalia goes to see if the tulmhainar is beneath the hill, kneeling down and touching it.
