Amalia shows up late, having gotten caught up with bakery work which needed completion before she could take up the mantle of Loreseeker. She had seen the results of the day before, amazed and delighted to see her Atheneum begin to re-gain its shape and glory. Jigano's attention to the ancient building warms her heart more than she can say: it is wonderful to know it has a true caretaker again, a better person for the job than a girl who does not know what she is doing. But she is still determined to help in some way, so she shows up the next day laden with snacks, gowned in work clothes and barefoot in the summer heat, her long hair braided back and coiled atop her head. There are familiar faces, and Amalia smiles brightly at Melita in greeting before going over to Jigano and Rory, settling in atop the table at the abandoned's side.
