Remi's blush was instant, adorable, and complete. It felt strange on the one hand to be told he was strong enough to take down a tyrant like Zariah, and on the other hand be reduced to a twitterpated mess with just one look from Ronin. But that was Remi all over, and he had to look down at the road in front of them with a flustered sort of chuckle to keep from absolutely gushing.

"Oh..just...mostly that I made a bit of a mess of the proposal given that you were concussed at the time I do not believe I said any of the normal things that normally accompany that sort of thing. I don't even think I said I love you." Remi recalled, crinkling his nose and ruffling a hand through his curls.

"Vai..and...Amalia. And Sam. And Phoebe." He said swallowing a lump of nervous energy down. "And..Zariah knew." Remi added, his hand looping around the ex-captain's waist as well with a slight nudge, hoping they wouldn't linger on that last name.
