Emmett heard someone approach and turned to see a man he distantly knew, someone he'd seen around before. His guard was up right away, wary of strangers after his outburst yesterday, knowing it would quickly lead to trouble (especially as he had not signed up to the damn army) but the man approached and complimented his speech and he relaxed.
