Neron stepped off the platform and turned to hold a hand out for Zariah to do the same. "Our gifts are invaluable for the continued survival of the Citadel. They are to be cherished." And if that hadn't been the train of thought before his arrival, it certainly was now.
Leading them along the lofty heights at the top of the palace, Neron paused before a small spiral staircase, glancing back at Zariah. "Brace yourself - the wind up here can be very strong," he said. "That fur is from an Ursur - a bear-like creature that will eat anything, so far as I know."
