Remi wanted to disagree with Jigano, if only out of a desire to re-write Sam's history to prove the bard wrong. He wasn't though, not in the slightest, and that made the words all the harder to accept. I think it is not just lonliness. I think... Remi's mental express crumpled, and his leonine gaze lowered to the ground as he sipped the air as if it were something bitter. I think he wants to be in love. Or perhaps more correctly...he wants someone to love him. A special sort of guilt and remorse flooded through the lion, knowing that at one time, Sam had wanted that person to be him. It was only after the irreparable was already done, that it turned out that Remi had wanted that as well.
Listening in stunned silence, Remi chewed on the bard's descriptions. So...a portal not between worlds, but just between places here? That was certainly soothing. I take it the magic is meant to...help remove the poisonous gas? Or is this more of a ritualistic grouping of elements, do you think?
Though Aoife couldn't hear them, her childlike intuition told her they were talking about her (read: Aoife always thought she was the centre of every conversation, even silent ones), and shot the palish raven a devilish smile, her starry-eyes flashing with amusement.
