If not his than certainly within the lifetimes of his Ascended friends, and the Voice didn't seem the type to take 'no' for an answer if those she had favored proved ungrateful for her gifts. Bribes? Upgrades to make them better soldiers, certainly.
He could understand Rexanna's desire to be her own person, at least, though he wondered at whether she was just setting herself up to be taken advantage of by the goddess she now served.
