Whether or not Edrei remained in power seemed inconsequential—especially if she only wanted to remain a figurehead—if Jigano and Ronin were there to corral her. Then again, the alchemist knew well what had gone through his partner's mind and knew that the clipped almost-promotion had not ended entirely because of the not-king's temper.
