In the moments it took Adam to answer, Peter wrung his hands, afraid of somehow driving Adam off. Someone like Adam being willing to spend time with him was a mostly foreign concept to Peter. A concept made doubly baffling considering Adam didn’t seem to want from him. And... Adam had come with him now, when he needed some company.

Adams company, specifically. Pet just wasn’t quite ready to have that thought.

Hearing that he wasn’t alone in having dark secrets was a relief to Pet, in some strange way. There was a reason they were dark secrets, people didn’t talk about them. To Prt, it sometimes felt like maybe he was just Like That. His energy shifted, suddenly he wanted to rush through his explanation as quickly as possible, just to be done with it and on to something else.

”No, she... it... I-I.. I felt it. Like magic. But not... not anything I’ve seen. Or heard of. She moved her hands....” Pet gestured with his own, mimicking the thrusting motion she had made. ”... and then... I heard... I heard people. And saw...” There was that anxiety, that terror borne tremble in his voice.

Even refreshing the image in his head was effective it seemed. Something about that seemed unfair. Pet wrapped both his arms around his stomach like he was sick. ”It... I didn't um, don’t... I’m not good with... bad head things. So I wanted... wanted to be alone? But... with you? ...stupid.” The last part was mumbled under his breath, his inelegant words bothering him more than usual.
