Perhaps due to the stony debris in the air, or just an unlucky roll of the metaphorical (wink wink) dice, but the fire doesn't seem as potent this time around. Light blooms around Deimos, healing his wounds and reinvigorating him amidst the chaos.

Whereas Remi 's use of his magic is sculpted and intentional, Amalia 's is like a blast. Such is what happens when you wield someone else's magic. Stones strengthen and add themselves to the crumbling structure but still, it weighs heavily and the walls bend around them. The area under which the group stands is protected, but not for long. The ceiling shakes above, bits of which fall towards the centre, ricocheting and bouncing about like giant balls. Amalia and Ashetta take the largest hits, enough to cause bruising for sure, whereas Deimos and Remi manage at most to stub their toes. It likely would have collapsed if not for the recent reinforcements.

As Ashetta 's lightning illuminates the interior once more sizzling and destroying the plants, the remaining stalks seem to grow resilient, puffing more and more gas into the air. Despite his earlier healing, Deimos once again takes the worst of the noxious fumes and for a moment he thinks he hears a voice. Up your luck stat, it seems to say. Whatever that means. The others breathe in the poison and feel themselves weaken as well.
