Pressing outwards with his magic while shifting seconds after, Remi tried to barricade himself and Ashe beneath a wall of rubble and manticore-body that would keep them both safe, or at the very least, the hummingbird.
If they are not all gone...this will all have been for nothing.. Remi explained in a wilty and shattered voice, hopefully holding the hummingbird against a lion's chest with hawks' wings, solid beneath a magically-held mound of rubble.
Remi tries to protect hummingbird Ashe while using his earth magic to feel that all the plants are dead. He tries to make a wall of rubble to protect them as the Spire collapses and shifts into a manticore to protect them.
