"I think it is just a different structure." she said with a light shrug. "Most boys took up a trade at about tweleve and by sixteen were apprentices. By twenty one or so most were good enough to start out on their own or take over shops." she explained. "I sort of did the same with midwifery but I started at seven." she said. But she supposed if you thought you would die at twenty that would change things.She stared at him wided eyed. "Almost sixty? They were standing in their own graves!" she said in shock. She shook her head, completely blown away bu this.
Her nose wrinkled again at him. "You don't know all my history, so you can't say that for sure " she said, poking his chest. "And six years is a long time."
