Phoebe sighed but made no fight as he sat her down - not that she had the energy to do so even if she wanted to. His smile helped, and she tried to believe everything was okay, but it wasn't. Not even close. And try as she might to not take the weight of the world on her shoulders, it was difficult. "I'm still sorry." she mumbled.
As well meaning as his suggestions were, it caused irritation to flare in her. Did he think she was that stupid that she hadn't thought of that? But she swallowed it down, if only barely. He was cleaning glass out of her arms and had given his own blood to the cause. He was just trying to help. "I've tried both with the same outcome." she said quietly. "Even if you lit most of these medicines on fire, they wouldn't explode like that. It just...it can't be natural...and that makes me nervous because the only person I know of in Caido who makes unnatural things is the Voice..." And if the Voice was doing this and using the Ascended to spread it, it was just one more race war ready to break out.
"But...I don't know where to go from here. I don't know how to separate the blight from the infected cells...I don't know how I am supposed to study something that explodes everytime you interact with it."
