But suddenly Jata’s voice was added to the room, and she opened her eyes to look over at him, leaning in the doorway. ”But I haven’t really figured anything out yet.” she said with an irritated huff, glaring back at the vials and plates and specimens. Phoebe pulled herself up and carefully locked the ascended fluid away in a cabinet to keep light from corrupting it.
”Plus going home to sleep means I have to get up. Right here is fine.” she grumbled, letting her forehead rest against the hard wood desk. ”Then I can just start right back up again. It’s the most efficient thing really.” she said with a yawn, hands trembling on her lap.
