“Children of those in power typically are entitled brats.” He manages to say, eyes softening as he looks to her. “I’m sorry that happened to you lief. And that nobody was there to help you.” He says as he finishes the braid and tucks it in behind her ear. “Was that the end of it?” He wonders if she’d gotten back at the duke’s daughter, or if she had hidden herself away after it.
