BASTIEN i am the remedy to your heart, Bastien had tried his best to forget the two weeks in the dead of Deepfrost after the last year, but they would come again no matter how much he hated them, so he attended the meeting. Not that he thought he had that much to contribute; last time he had twice told people not to open doors, and both times there had been genuinely lost and hurt people on the other side. He did not often consider himself a cautious man, but with literal monsters lurking in the darkness, he found it much easier to potentially cut out a life. But he knew that could sound cold, so they had to find another way around it. Remi made sense, though he thought if they were all strong willed enough they could actually stay indoors, but he knew that the Alchemist was incredibly impulsive, as well as plenty of other would-be heroes around them. "Do we know, Remi, if the fall of the barrier will bring a change to the monsters? I am not naive enough to hope they might disappear, but will it be different? Has anyone heard from a God, or perhaps our winged friends?" Bastien, despite his once-fascination with them, did not now speak to Gods or learn about them except for visits with the Voice.
