"I can indeed make you stronger. I can give you the strength of an elephant, the cunning of a fox, and the forest-silence of a jaguar. But.." She pauses, her head tilting to the side. "Why should I? You have been good to Amalia...helped build this—" Safrin gestures to the shrine the reaper helped build. "—what do these things add up to? The spire..the plants..Even Zuriel, there.
