He comes cloaked in that which is the most powerful, if only to compensate for how very weak he feels. Without Ronin, Remi rarely sleeps. Without Aoife to feed, Remi forgets to feed himself. He'll live for Aoife of course. The alchemist won't simply give up on life, but if he cannot solve what is killing his husband, living is more than can be asked of him. For a time anyways.
Of course those around him will feel the weariness, the strain, the emptiness. The levity of his spirit is gone, replaced by a wasteland of continual dead-ends and non-answers. But of course Remi is here. He knows little of how the roses are supposed to work, but he will risk the thorns and the bittersweet blade of hope, if only to try.
For Ronin, he will always try.
