DEIMOS
They weren’t alone.

It was a spine-chilling thing coiling its way down the back of his avian neck, and he turned to regard movement and motions that any other time, might not have been so bestial, so barbaric, so twisted. Jigano, ivory and vulpine, had long since lost his luster in the rage of the blight’s circumstances, advancing upon Amalia before anyone would’ve had a chance to block or defend – Kiada doing the same, Harpy intervals raging upon Remi, harsh and unrelenting, even as she missed. Kiada, he bellowed through the newfound connections, pondering if it would even reach her. Stop! It was a command, it was a demand, but they were long since passed a time where he’d been king and monarch and sovereign. If it even mattered. If all of this was for naught again, and their thresholds were fighting a losing battle.

He could hear Amalia’s commands, don’t let them stop us ringing through his mind, but clarity, missions, weren’t going to override protection of those he cherished. Quickly, swiftly, he maneuvered pieces of rock and rubble to block the rose from sight while it remained slightly rooted, hoping the makeshift fortification would work for the moment, aiming to instill himself as a damned blackguard.

He turned rapidly, wings outstretched, and took to the air briefly, enough to ascend, to gain greater clarity on the expanse as Amalia missed Jigano’s leap. Then he plummeted, divebombing, intending to stretch out his talons and snag at the fox, either trying to lift him into the air, scattering him away from the sanction, or distract him long enough for Amalia to be successful in her planting. A deterrent, placing himself directly in the fray – bestial and barbaric, giving naught but vehemence and acrimony. He had no doubt Remi’s bulk would take of everything on his part – he could likely grab hold of the Harpy and they’d be safe for singular seconds.

Deimos tucks/hides his rose, and goes to attack/distract Jigano!
