Pim munched his jerky happily, pleased once again. But as soon as Jata released her feet, hell broke loose again. Phoebe tried to dart forward towards the flower, but his hold on her arms stopped her. She jerked, her feet continuing forward as the rest of her fell back, leaving her flat on her bottom, arms raised where he held her. She snarled and shouted at him incoherently, writhing and scrambling for purchase, trying to get away to destroy the flower.
