The purety and struggle of her cause was a blessing, one most everyone could understand and support. But the side of the line that Roana walked was covered in shadow, and it was one that took a certain disposition to carry. The more she was hated, the more comfortable she grew with it. It was simply the nature of the work.
”Then go as seek Mort’s council. You are far more worthy than I to ask for it. But in the meantime, I’ve still Ludo’s guidance to follow.”
