Loren didn’t resist as the Fae brought him out of the pit and marched him incredibly quickly out of their lands. He had a hollowed out, empty expression in his eyes and his face was blank, almost completely devoid of emotions. The stay in the pit had been harrowing: not because of the conditions, but because of the emotional turmoil he’d been through with Remi. Now, all Loren wanted to do was go home and shut out the world.

Turning to the Fae who was clearly in charge, he inclined his head to both her and the queen of the Hollowed Grounds, not trusting them to let him bow and not really having the energy to do so. ”I apologize to you both for my transgressions.” He knew better than to make any promises or assurances that he wouldn’t do it again.
