He listens to Jigano as he mentions he’s heard that the midwife had been blighted from Loren, and his head tilts with that small amount of information – wondering what the Launceleyn was doing around the midwife, suspicions arising before he quells them and focuses on the more important questions the bard tosses his way. Sunjata pauses too, when Jigano turns to face him, and he shoves his trembling hands into his pockets as he looks a bit down to the man. “She might be, but her blood is clear… Iridescent.” He struggles to find the words in this language, but manages after a moment. “It’s not red like ours.” He shrugs.
“The tainted blood, when Phoebe would put an attempt to cure it into it, would explode the glass it was on and shatter the things around it.” He grits his teeth for a brief moment, recalling the shards of glass that had cut his arms and Phoebe’s face. “Cells are… how did she put it? They make us who we are? Little circle-like things that are too small for our eyes to see.” He struggles again in this language, huffing a brief moment under his breath as he looks away from Jigano and his accented voice rumbles up again. “Bloedselle, en selle wat aanval as hulle siek is.” He begins in his own language, trying to pick it apart in his exhaustion before translating it for Jigano, steel eyes trailing back to the pale haired man. “Blood cells, and other cells to attack infection, I think.” He manages, pausing to run a trembling hand through his hair.
He gives Jigano a slightly pointed look at the question. “I wasn’t blighted then. I just started to show symptoms after the snows began to fall. I even managed to plant two roses.” He says before tilting his head. “Until Phoebe attacked me and I dragged her to Remi’s and his… horned horse couldn’t heal me.” It’s an easy offer up of information. But he knows that he hadn’t been blighted at that time. “Her cure worked fine on my blood before. But on Ronin’s, on her own, it exploded the glass. On Rexanna’s, it just swallowed it whole. It swallowed the blight too, with no spreading.”
