The whole time Remi struggled, both with what Loren had done and maybe, just maybe, with the light, Loren continued to hold his breath. Then, however, the flash of pure and bright green irises, without a hint of white or film, met the summoner’s eager gaze and he finally let out the air he’d been holding. ”It worked.” And with that, relief coursed through him and he laughed, a bright and delighted sound, one he’d been holding in along with his air even as happy tears sprang to his own blue eyes.
