Roana, being a soldier well used to facing all sorts of opponents and monsters in battle, had probably reacted without thinking. He could picture it all too easily: seeing an enormous beast with unknown abilities in a hostile environment, she would’ve struck without thinking, more worried about protecting her people than any consequences or about thinking if it was the right thing to do.
