The summoner had no idea how the alchemist’s magic worked. ”I don’t know how to explain it, and we didn’t get into the mechanics of it. I think it works similarly to my summoning, in that I’m not sure how much independent thought they exhibit and how much is at Remi’s direction, but he can make plants that already exist come into a semblance of life, complete with eyes and mouths.” It really was almost impossible to explain without a demonstration.
