For all her training and competence, Wessex isn’t having very good luck. It’s infuriating. Baring her fangs into the darkness in frustration, she leads her two Fae on a merry chase, trusting that the other three have their shit under control (and they do, far more so than she does, ironically).
Hoping that she’s far enough ahead of the Fae, Wessex slips quietly between a bush and the trunk of a large tree, stilling all signs of life she might accidentally let loose - scent aside, she imagines the snake might have trouble tracking a creature that lacks a strong heat signature. She’d noticed the big fangs on the snake, which begs the question - does venom even harm Ascended? The Wraith things not, but she isn’t willing to take that chance.
While she’s hiding, Wessex takes out the adrenaline booster from her pocket and jabs it into herself, sending the Voice’s energy crashing through her body. It’s like being hit with a wave, and she can hardly contain herself as she patiently waits, ever so slowly retrieving another two arrows from the quiver to nock in preparation, listening for the two Fae guards to get close enough to her hiding spot. Can she pinpoint where they are, based on the slithering of scales and the quiet hum of beating wings?
When her heightened senses seem to tell her that at least Leroy is close enough, Wessex first lets out a biopulse two the two of them and then, hoping that Leroy is disoriented, lets another two arrows loose towards the flying Fae.

Wessex runs off into the surrounding trees and hides. She uses the ADRENALINE BOOSTER and waits until at least Leroy, if not both Leroy and Hissy, are close enough to use her bio-pulse to disorient them. Then she pops out and shoots two more arrows at Leroy.
