Amun obliges her, and she’s drifting toward the tree remaining quick on her feet, until she pauses just enough to focus the flame to the tree – only… It doesn’t hit the tree, instead, she sees a flash of stripes and fur that engulf in flame, and for a moment she’s surprised as the hiss leaves the fae’s maw upon falling to the snow. Now, she has two choices. She can see if she can focus the tree more, or focus on the fae not getting back up and getting to her.
Eyes lift up toward the rest of their group – seeking out Wessex who she can’t see, seeking out Sam who she also can’t see, and her lip curls just enough as she finally seeks out the man who had watched her back. “We need to get the tree.” She manages through clenched, fanged teeth, slipping away from where the fae lays in the snow to get as much distance between her and him as possible, before she directs her fire magic back at the tree again, wishing for the best.
Rex moves away from Kitty and focuses her fire magic on the tree again!
